ABOUT DONALDO NEW YORK

Welcome to Donaldo New York, where surrealism and psychedelia meet up with mindfulness and serenity. 

Since the 1970s, Donaldo has filled sketchbooks with spontaneous pen-and-ink drawings, some signed “Josh,” others under his given name, Don Fizzinoglia, and now as Donaldo New York. The drawings begin without a plan: lines come first, and meaning only emerges as shapes and characters reveal themselves.

A documentary film maker and university professor, Donaldo is devoted to diversifying his visual arts oeuvre as well as developing works that expand the creativity, serenity and mindfulness of those who view and participate in his work.
